The nEUROCare project continues to make remarkable progress, bringing together all project members from both European and Sri Lankan partner universities for the final meeting held on the 25th November 2024 at the University of Colombo.
During the meeting, significant outcomes of the project were discussed, including:
- Curriculum Development: The finalized curriculum, designed to address the educational needs for neurodegenerative care, will soon be made accessible.
- Training Milestones: Over 750 professionals and students have been trained through CPD sessions, surpassing the initial target. Topics covered include Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), person-centered care etc, contributing to enhanced professional capabilities.
- Focus Groups & Awareness Initiatives: Focus groups were conducted across all partner universities, providing valuable insights into knowledge gaps and opportunities for improved NDD care. Additionally, outreach efforts such as workshops, seminars, and media campaigns have heightened public awareness.
- Accreditation Progress: Partner institutions continue to advance their accreditation processes.
- Evaluations Completed: All internal and external evaluations, including CPD and Knowledge, Attitudes, and Practices assessments, have been successfully completed, ensuring the project meets its quality standards.
